In short
- Administrators can delete their ISKRA account in the app: My Settings → Delete my account.
- Deleting removes your sign-in account (e-mail and password), your admin access and your phone number.
- Records of past alarms are kept for the legal retention period (see below).
- Can’t open the app? E-mail contact@iskrasafety.com from the address you signed up with.
1. Who has an account
Administrators sign in to ISKRA with an e-mail address and a password, so they have an account that can be deleted. Workers do not create an account: they join a site with a code and a name, without an e-mail address or password. A worker can leave a site at any time in the app under Settings (this also deletes the worker’s phone number, if one was entered). To ask us to erase other data about a worker, write to contact@iskrasafety.com.
2. How to delete your administrator account in the app
- Open ISKRA and sign in as an administrator (“I’m an Administrator”).
- Open the menu and tap My Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted and what will be kept, then tap Continue.
- Enter your password to confirm and tap Delete account permanently.
The deletion cannot be undone. You need an internet connection and your password.
When the account cannot be deleted right now
- An alarm is active on one of your sites: deleting is postponed until the alarm ends, so that nothing interferes with the emergency.
- You are the last administrator of the whole organization: first invite a successor as an administrator (menu → Invite another admin), so the sites keep an administrator who can raise an alarm. If this is not possible, write to us.
3. What is deleted and what is kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Sign-in account (e-mail address, password) | Deleted immediately. |
| Administrator profile and access to the organization and its sites | Deleted immediately. |
| Your phone number (if you entered one) | Deleted immediately. |
| Records of alarms you triggered, cancelled or confirmed (including your e-mail address in them) | Kept: 10 years for real alarms, 12 months for drills, then deleted automatically. These records show how an alarm was handled and may be needed to defend against legal claims, for example for personal injury (see our Privacy Policy, section 6). |
| Records of help (SOS) requests you resolved | Kept up to 12 months, then deleted automatically. |
Workers and the other administrators of your organization are not affected by deleting your account.
4. If you cannot use the app
E-mail contact@iskrasafety.com from the e-mail address of the account and write that you want the account deleted. We may ask a question to confirm that you own the account. We will process the request without undue delay and at the latest within one month. Everything in section 3 applies in the same way.
